Where Poems Fly, Through Starry Skies.

Gods Twilight

Note: some of you may have seen this on another Blog. My former page : RedWolfPoems, is probably still active. yet for personal reasons, I can no longer use that account. so ill be redoing that work here, as I’m still honing my craft.

The great horn sounds, the fun shall begin, as the clash starts with a mighty din. The battle has begun, who shall win, on this day when the world shall end.

The mighty ones from upon high, their winged soldiers take to the sky. The Valkyrie ride on to die, their mighty blows will turn the tide. To protect Asgard they shall always try.

Giants walk across the bridge. Fire and ice is in the mist. They hide the coming of that dreadful ship. That holds the horde within its mitts. Bloody shrieks shall fill the night, as the battle rages toward dawns first light.

The one-eyed God, master of all. Stands against this onslaught from and tall. For he is Odin and this his hall. Behind his back the great wolf crawls, silent through these gilded halls.

Fenrir would be his name. The slaughter of Odin shall be his game. No longer does he creep, nor even hide. He leaps forward jaws gaping wide. The one-eyed god spins about, his spear flashing with a mighty shout.

Crashing thunder heralds their fight, a fearful test of all their might. This is a duel I saw with great fright, as the death of one was a certain sight.

Flashing spear, seeking claw. one of them must surely fall. Twilight comes for the one-eyed God. Before the wolf, he is fated to fall. All shall end, and the darkness shall surely win.
