All it takes is one single thought. It can shatter all the peace you really bought.

A single word, a single phrase, can put one into such a haze. Full of darkness and despair. Anytime and anywhere.

I thought I was over the things from my past. But the horrors caught up so very fast. I ran my hardest and looked away. And still the demons try to stay

A painful moment comes in a flash. It breaks my heart with a mighty bash. I wish it would leave me be. The damage that never sets me free.

I tried to move on with my life. From the memories of strife. To stay away from trails and pain. For in my world they have no fame. They play such a cruel game.

I don’t watch tv, I rarely play. I do all I can to distract and keep the darkness at bay. I try to keep my mind from wondering. For then I get to darkly pondering.
