In the night the terror comes, eater of dreams, bringer of pain. What will happen when it comes for you? Will it make your nightmares true?
One cannot sleep, cannot dream. Not until this beast takes its leave. All you feel all through the night, is mighty terror, unending plight. All-consuming fright
To stay awake is the Goal, the only way to avoid this woe.
I hear it creeping ever closer. Feel its breath upon my shoulder. My body trembles, my mind in shambles.
Terror courses through my veins, I know what’s coming, I feel the pain. I try to fight yet always lose. The darkness comes it takes the light. Sends me now into a fitful fright,
Night terror, that is its name, makes me wake and shriek with pain. Always plays such hateful games, nothing matters when I sleep. Except I pray it’s not too deep. For then my soul shall surely weep.
