Can I love you, without you being near? Without feeling pain or fear? I think I can, let’s try and see.

Always fighting for your attention, I never seemed to learn my lesson. Staying close filled with pain, left me with nothing to show, no gain.

So I stepped back and took a bow. Thinking let’s see how this goes now. To my surprise, it’s gone just fine. And I finally have some peace of mind.

No longer sadness fills my chest. Deep within giving unrest. You stay off my mind, my souls at peace.

So yes my dear I can love you from a far. I’ve found it is not hard. No longer chains of pain to bind.
