I stand in the edge of a dual abyss
Wondering to which do I turn.
On either side I can tell something is amiss.
Yet I yearn to plunge in, no I burn.
One leads to madness, deep and dark.
Filled with agony, despair, and discordant thought.
It beckons me sweetly, with it’s sweet song.
It knows what to tell me, what I want all along.
Down the other flows sanity, on such a narrow path.
It’s not very pleasing to the eye.
Filled with rough patches, course words, and I must work till I die.
Down which should I plunge, which way is best?
I’m on the knifes edge, I’ve been put to the test.
Bliss of madness, or hardheaded sanity.
Which will I take, when both sing to me?
