Tyr’s Day

The one handed God. The bravest of the brave. His courage is great, lives does he save.

He feared not the wolf, who all others shunned. He patted his muzzle and brought him food. Knowing the end that was to come.

He placed his hand, in the wolf’s maw, so that the chains could be placed around it’s paws.

An oath was given the gods heeded it not. And the pain he bore, was from this wrought.

For with a snap, the wolf gnashed its teeth. And vengeance on Tyr did it reap.

His hand was lost, to chain the wolf. A loss he gladly took.

So on this day, we honor him, Tuesday it is, the day of Tyr
