Forlorn thoughts drift through the mist.
Each one wields a desperate wish.
Plaguing the mind with creeping doubts
Making one wish to scream and shout.
There is no one to help in the tying times.
We simply buckle down and pretend to be fine.
Yet we are not, far from it inside.
The place where all our secrets hide.
So we distract ourselves with our daily lives.
Looking on as time flies by.
A smile can fool all passersby,
As inside we crumble and die.
We want to be seen. We want to be heard.
To say the things that our minds observe.
Things that fill with wants and needs.
Things that others pay no heed to.
But we fear to do so, we know it’s true.
We can not share. Not me, not you.
To do so would bring mocking ridicule,
A feeling of sadness, deep as the ocean Blue.
So we tuck it away, deep inside.
While in sorrow, we flee and hide.
Wishing always to give up or die.
