We seek money
We seek power
We seek all that we can devour.
We seek fame
We seek fortune
We seek all beneath sun and moon.
We strip the land and pillage the oceans
We cut down trees and pour forth pollution.
the sun and moon.
We strip the land and pillage the oceans
We cut down trees and pour forth pollution.
Yet what happens when all the trees are gone?
When we have destroyed the last pond?
Will we choke upon our own breath?
Will we wish to change our fate?
But realize its far too late.
Money does not buy everything
Power only misfortune will bring.
The world will care for her children
But only if we care in return
Is this a lesson it’s too late to learn?
