The moon shines with her gentle light
Sending color to this night.
Pushing back darkness, chasing away fright
A silent companion, full of wonderous sight.
Yet is she silent? Up among the stars.
Perhaps we cannot hear, she is rather far.
Perhaps we need to use more than our ears
Open ones mind; through the soul you shall hear.
She speaks to us, singing to our heart
From above, in the dark, set so far apart.
Her silvery light draws us in
For here is where the discovery begins.
She speaks truths from beyond time
Things we feel in the back of our minds.
Lessons taught long ago you can find
If you listen down inside.
She speaks to the oceans in her own way.
A tug and a pull, now here they sway.
They rise they fall at her tough
So gentle, yet more than enough.
She speaks through the wolves who howl in the night.
A sound that makes one tremble, filled with wild delight.
She calls to us all, mostly unheard
Only the wolves, her salutation may return.
She is the moon, Silver Lady so fair
In this silent joy, I dearly wish to share.
