Where Poems Fly, Through Starry Skies.

Festering Wound

Hate, a boiling bubbling thing. It fills one’s heart

It worms its way inward. A poison unseen in the dark.

It festers and it writhes, filling one with its venomous string.

We give in. Unaware of the misery it will bring.

We give in to hate. We learn our lessons to late. And we often seal our fate.

It spoils the body. Ruins the mind

Devouring all that it can find.

Placing us in shackles, unseen but bound

A place where peace is not found.

Yet it is their if one does but look

Love is the cure, one many shall take

Hate cannot abide where love abounds

It flees, a rat scurrying towards the ground.

Give not in to the hate within. Instead, love should win.

Love brings joy

Joy brings peace

Peace to all upon the earth .

For why should we hate? What do we gain?

In the end we are all one. All the same
