I am one who comes in the night
One who gives all a fright.
As I rip away the light.
Leave you alone in the dark
A wolf seeking your heart
Eager to tear one apart.
I am one who deal in lies
Who trades in secret and all despise.
I sow discord and rampant pain
From it I take joy, a little I gain.
I am one who speaks the truth
The things you hide, I’ve taken a look.
I am one who you learn to despise
Mistrusted by many, they wish I would die.
I am one who has made peace with himself.
Learned the things hidden within
Freed them to be where they should
Something others wish they could.
I am these things and many more
I am a man, one the world has made
One they wish would just stop and fade
One who has worn many crowns
Traded smiles when feeling frowns.
But now they come off. Handed down
Being whole, being at peace. Fulfillment finally found.
