Where Poems Fly, Through Starry Skies.

The Fools Jewel.

Glittering, shimmering, shining jewel.

I looked upon you and realized, I was a fool.

I saw everything I wanted, everything I desired.

To reach for you was to brush flames. I was burned by fire.

I crashed, I plummeted towards my death.

I did so filled with deepest regrets.

For how could I fall to such a foolish choice?

As to believe I could hold such a treasure, and cheerfully rejoice.

Yet I tried. And towards that goal I strived.

And in the end, my soul barely survived.
