Dreams, that realm of eternal wonder
How I yearn for your return.
You reveal the hidden mysteries, buried within my soul
You show me majestic wonders, places I wish someday to go.
Loved ones, dear friends, those who passed or moved away
Within the dream world, your here still to stay.
Oh dreams, you can be wonderful at times
Yet at others, a cavernous beast, ready upon my soul to feast.
You show me nightmares and horrors
The past I wish to forget
The ways I’ve gone, and choices I’ve lived to regret.
Are there lessons in these things?
Stories within the ocean of pains?
Or is it madness you truly bring.
