You will hurt yourself with all your talking if you never close your mouth. A hasty tongue, unless it’s disciplined, often earns its owner punishment. –Havamal stanza 29
Watch what you say, and who you say it too. For sometimes a friend, is not really a friend to you.
You trust them with your secrets, with the stories of your past. But then they spread the tales, and your peace it shall not last.
Things you hold dear to your heart, are now revealed to all. Embarrassment and pity, are thrown at you from all sides. Sometimes even mocking laughs, that make you wish to hide.
Sometimes the tongue can run away, of it’s own accord. That’s when we often find, that misery we hoard.
Anger stirs from lose tongues, often found within the young. Yet sometimes elders make this mistake, and show their wisdom can be fake.
Wisdom says to hold ones peace, and keep it tightly bound. For nothing good cam come from this, only trouble will be found!
