Where Poems Fly, Through Starry Skies.

Silence

Sometimes it’s a blessing

At others it’s a curse.

I’m not really sure to be honest

But silence can be the worst.

Spending all your time

Looking at your phone

Waiting for it to flash

When it doesn’t we cry and moan.

We want to feel connected

These electronics make it a lie

We are even more isolated

The silence makes one cry.

We spend all our time wishing

That someone would just speak

That we could have companions

That this works just freaking reeks.

In the end it makes us little, makes us just feel weak.

So why even bother, why even try

To seek out attention

It’s not like you’ll die.

If you sit alone in the silence

You might just really like it.

About Me

A Simple man who dreams of being an Author one day. A lover of poems and stories of all types. A dreamer and a tale weaver in my spare time. What little I have as a father of three. Come sit by the fire, and let me spin my tales, let me speak my rhymes, and show you, a quite good time.
