Be kind to others
Spread love to all
Never give in to angers call.
Anger and malice may feel quite right
But they are cup that runs empty, within the night.
They leave a whole within ones heart
heart
A place that festers becoming dark.
They tear ones very soul apart
Leaving wounds that never heal.
Sadness and regrets they taste bitter
But we must face them or be a quitter.
Sometimes they can be a heavy hitter
But they in the end will help us heal
If we strive on and never kneel.
Life knocks us about and puts us in a tilt
Wobbling here and there as if on stilts.
Grasping at straws, combative
Often reactive.
But really. Never that proactive.
Reach out with kindness
Push forth compassion.
Set up boundaries
Resist harmful passions.
These are things that life loves to teach
Even as it makes us burn, makes us weep.
